After losing a close match with Buckhorn, the Lady Commodores of Perry Central needed a win to get back on track. The Lady Commodores were able to get back on a winning track as they took down June Buchanan and Boyd County.
Perry Central hosted the June Buchanan Lady Crusaders in the Black Gold Spikefest early in the week, and came away with the 3-0 win. The Lady Commodores cruised to the win in games one and two, winning 25-11 and 25-10. However, the Lady Crusaders would give Perry Central some trouble in the third game, taking it to the wire.
Perry Central was able to pull out the 25-23 win in the third game, giving them the match.
Over the weekend, the Lady Commodores participated in the Paintsville Fall Classic. Despite losing their first three matches to Lawrence County, Paintsville and East Ridge, Perry Central finished with a win.
The Lady Commodores took on the Boyd County Lady Lions in their final game and managed to come away with the 2-0 win. Perry Central won the first game 25-23 and held on for the 25-22 win in game two.
