The Perry County Central football team hosted the winless Montgomery County Indians on Friday. Both teams were looking to get on the winning track.
Perry Central scored the first touchdown of the game as Jack Sluss hit Rylan Eddington from 6-yards for a touchdown. The Commodores had the extra-point blocked, giving them the 6-0 lead.
Minutes later, Montgomery County was able to get the equalizing touchdown back. The Indians made good on the 2-pt conversion, giving them the 8-6 lead.
The score stood for much of the first half, with Montgomery County getting a late touchdown to take the 16-6 lead. Neither team scored in the final minutes, sending the game to the half with the 16-6 advantage still in tack for the Indians.
The Indians opened the second half strong, putting a couple of quick touchdowns on the board. Early in the fourth period, they had enough of a lead to put the clock in motion. The game would end quietly, with Perry Central dropping their third straight 44-6.
