The Hazard Bulldog soccer team began the week with a 3-8 record. By the end of the week, the Bulldogs had pushed their season record to 5-8 as they pick up a pair of wins over Pike Central (5-8) and Estill County (3-9).
Hazard opened the week on the road at Pike Central. The Bulldogs found themselves in a heated battle with the Hawks, but prevailed 2-1. Isaac Turner scored both goals for Hazard.
In their second game of the week, Hazard hosted a struggling Estill County team. The Bulldogs got on the board early, forcing the momentum on Hazard’s side of the field.
The Engineers were able to pick up a couple of goals in the second half, but they were unable to keep the Bulldogs out of the winner’s column. Hazard went on to win the game by the final count of 3-2. Tyler Collins, Cameron Deaton and Noah Niece each had a goal in the game, while Tyler Collins had the only assist of the contest.
