Hazard prepares for upcoming tournaments

The Hazard Lady Bulldog volleyball team spent the early part of their week preparing for the post season. The Lady Bulldogs played a trio of region teams that they could see later on.

The Lady Bulldogs started on the road with the Letcher Central Lady Cougars. Hazard put up a valiant fight, but came away with the 0-3 loss.

The Lady Bulldogs lost the first game after pushing the Lady Cougars to the limit 24-26. Letcher Central came back with strong wins 25-19 and 25-18 to take the match.

In their second game, Hazard was put to the test as they hosted the Breathitt County Lady Bobcats. Hazard got off to a good start, winning the first game 25-19. However, they would come up short (20-25) in game two.

The Lady Bulldogs would once again take a game 25-19 to take the lead, but again fell in the next game 26-28. Hazard would eventually notch the win with a 15-10 tiebreaker.

In their third match, Hazard would take on crosstown rival Perry Central. The Lady Bulldogs made quick work of the Lady Commodores sweeping the match 25-12, 25-15 and 25-13.
