Early last week, the Hazard Bulldog soccer team made the journey to Prestonsburg to play the Blackcats. The game was close throughout, with the Bulldogs coming up short on a 4-5 score.

The Bulldogs were able to get several good looks at the goal during the game, and came away with their fourth best goal total of the season. Hazard also passed the ball well during the game as four different players scored.

In the end, it would not be enough to carry them to victory as Prestonsburg managed a single goal more than Hazard, giving them the 4-5 win. Noah Niece paced the Bulldogs with a goal and a pair of assists.

Hazard stats: Goals: Tyler Collins 1, Kyle Johnson 1, Noah Niece 1 and Isaac Turner 1. Assists: Noah Niece 2.

Later in the week, Hazard traveled to Belfry to take on the Pirates. The Bulldogs found it difficult to get their offense started, and fell behind early. They would not be able to find the net during the contest, and fell to the Pirates 0-8.
