The Perry County Central Lady Commodores had a highly successful season last year and are looking to build on that success. The Lady Commodores lost the majority of their offensive punch to graduation, and will be looking for some experienced players to step up into a leadership role.
The Lady Commodores will only put three seniors on the field this season. However, they are well seasoned veterans of the pitch.
Perry Central will also be fielding a small number of freshmen as only three players have joined the roster. If the Lady Commodores are going to make some noise come tournament time, they are going to have to have some of the juniors and sophomores jump into a leadership role.
Coach Kevin Whitman is optimistic about the upcoming season. “We have several players that have worked hard over the summer, and will be able to step up into an offensive role when the season begins.”
