The Buckhorn Wildcats played their second game of the new season on Thursday. The Wildcats played host to the Lee County Bobcats.
Buckhorn’s defense created havoc in the Lee County backcourt, allowing them to pick up some easy baskets. By the time the first period ended, the Wildcats had built a double-digit lead (22-12).
The Bobcats picked up the pace in the second quarter, but could not cut into the deficit as the Wildcats were able to stay one step ahead. Going into the locker room, Buckhorn held the 44-33 advantage.
The Wildcats pulled out all the stops in the third period, and left the Bobcats in the dust. Buckhorn went into the final frame with the game well in hand at 82-47.
Buckhorn went to their bench to close out the game, and did so in stellar form, once again adding to their lead. The Wildcats went on to win the game by the final count of 108-58.
