Last week, the Perry County Central Commodores hit the road to take on the Clay County Tigers. The Commodores were able to stay one step ahead of the Tigers throughout the game to pull out the 74-64 win.

The Commodores started slow, but their defenses quickly put them in the game. By the end of the first period, Perry Central held a slim 18-17 lead.

Their defense began to pay off in the second period as Perry Central began to extend their margin. The Commodores went into the locker room with the 36-28 advantage.

Clay County picked up the pace in the third period, but Perry Central was able to hang tough. Despite the increased Tiger offense, the Commodores went into the final frame with the 58-49 lead.

Nothing changed in the fourth quarter as both teams left everything they had on the floor. Again, the Commodores came away with a one point advantage in the frame, giving them the 74-64 win.
