Cardinals fly past Wildcats

Last week, the Buckhorn Wildcats traveled to Sheldon Clark to take on the Cardinals. The Wildcats were able to keep things close in the early going, but fell behind in the second half before giving up the 79-53 win to the Cardinals.

Both teams were hitting in the first period, with Sheldon Clark getting the best of Buckhorn 20-18. The Wildcats dropped off a little in the second period, but still managed to keep things close, going into the break down 36-29.

Despite a strong effort, Buckhorn began to loose ground in the third period, and went into the final frame trailing 57-43. The Wildcats were unable to muster a comeback in the fourth quarter, and eventually fell 79-53.

Buckhorn (53) Austin Morris 20, Daniel Hurley 9 (4 rebounds), Austin Bennett 8 (4 rebounds), Nick Stidham 8 (5 assists), Donovan Engle 6 (3 assists), Shannon Blank 5 (6 rebounds) and Jarred Griffith (3 rebounds).
