Late last week, the Buckhorn Wildcats played in the Peggy Moore Memorial Classic in Jackson. The Wildcats would take on the Iroquois Raiders from the 6th region.
Buckhorn got off to a slow start, and quickly fell behind 19-10 in the first period. The Wildcats had a strong second quarter and erased much of their deficit, going into the break trailing by just five (37-32).
The third period saw the Wildcats not only erase the entire deficit, but take the lead. With one period left to play, Buckhorn was up five (53-48).
The fourth period saw another five point swing, but this time it belonged to the Raiders, and forced an overtime to settle the outcome. Iroquois got the better of Buckhorn in the extra period, taking the 79-78 win.
