Last week, the Hazard Bulldogs opened their 2016-17 season on the road at the Lee County Bobcats. The Bulldogs took a double-digit lead early in the first quarter, and finished strong with the 82-63 win.
Everything went Hazard’s way in the first quarter as they built an impressive 22-8 lead at the horn. Lee County was able to get into the game in the second period, but it would be the Bulldogs that took the 42-25 lead into the break.
The Bobcats found a way to turn the tables on the Bulldogs in the fourth period, and nearly erased their entire deficit (51-46). However, the rally would not carry over to the fourth quarter as Hazard returned to form and pulled away for the 82-63 win.
