In the second round of the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic, the Perry County Central Commodores took on the Corbin Redhounds. The Commodores stumbled out of the gate, and never got their legs under them as they fell 69-41.
The Commodores came up short on a 12-7 score in the first period. Again in the second period, Perry Central struggled to find their offense, leaving them on the short end of a 29-16 score at the half.
Perry Central would put together their best offensive period of the game in the third quarter, but it would not be enough as they fell farther behind 50-30. A rally never materialized in the fourth quarter, and all Perry Central could do was wait for the final horn. The Commodores eventually fell to the Redhounds 69-41.
Perry Central (41) Damon Tobler 12 (9 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks), Noah Back 15 (1 rebound and 1 steal), Richard Cornett 1 (1 rebound), Chandler Caudill 2 (1 assist and 1 steal), Sam Turner 3 (3 rebounds), Jayden Neace 5 (2 rebounds and 1 steal), and Jacob Wolllum 1 (5 rebounds).
