The Perry County Central Lady Commodores traveled to Breathitt County this week to participate in the J.P. Deaton Classic. The Lady Commodores kicked off the event with the South Floyd Lady Raiders.
The Lady Commodores came out strong, and doubled up on the Lady Raiders in the first period (36-18). South Floyd switched up their defense in the second quarter, allowing them to cut into the Perry Central lead. The Lady Commodores, however, managed to stay on top, and went into the locker room with the 53-39 advantage.
It was all Perry Central coming out of the break, as they nearly doubled their lead (75-48). Despite a strong showing by the Lady Raiders in the final period, the Lady Commodores were able to take the victory by the final score of 86-67.
