The Perry County Central Commodores opened the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic with the Sayre Spartans. The Commodores fell behind early, and struggled to fight their way back into the game. A late rally gave Perry Central the 63-61 win.

Things did not go well for the Commodores in the first period as they fell behind 22-12. Perry Central picked up the pace in the second period, but still trailed 39-32 at the half.

Both teams came out ice cold in the third period, limiting the points the Commodores could erase from their deficit (47-41). Perry Central saved their best quarter for last, and a good thing, because they would need every basket to pull out the 63-61 win.

Perry Central (63) Damon Tobler 10 (10 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks), Noah Back 17 (1 rebound and 1 assist), Austin Hill l9 (3 rebounds and 1 steal), Chandler Caudill 2 (3 rebounds), Richard Cornett 11 (1 rebound and 3 assists), Jayden Neace 4 (1 steal), Prince Anosike 6 (7 rebounds and 4 blocks) and Idris Akinyeni 4 (6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block).
