The Perry County Central Commodores opened the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic with the Sayre Spartans. The Commodores fell behind early, and struggled to fight their way back into the game. A late rally gave Perry Central the 63-61 win.
Things did not go well for the Commodores in the first period as they fell behind 22-12. Perry Central picked up the pace in the second period, but still trailed 39-32 at the half.
Both teams came out ice cold in the third period, limiting the points the Commodores could erase from their deficit (47-41). Perry Central saved their best quarter for last, and a good thing, because they would need every basket to pull out the 63-61 win.
