The Perry County Central Commodores took on the Lafayette Generals in their third game of the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic. The Commodores enjoyed a large lead throughout the game, but a late rally by the Generals sent the game to overtime, where Perry Central fell 72-68.
It was all Perry Central in the first quarter as they built a 22-3 lead. Lafayette was able to shave a few points off the deficit in the second quarter, but could not stop Perry Central from going into the locker room with the 33-17 advantage.
The two teams played even in the third period, sending the Commodores to the final frame with the 46-30 lead. Perry Central would give up all 16 points in the fourth quarter, making it necessary to settle the matter in overtime.
The fourth quarter momentum followed the Generals to the overtime period as they completed the comeback 72-68. Damon Tobler notched a triple-double for the Commodores.
