Buckhorn’s defense recked havoc in the Tiger backcourt early in the game, allowing the Wildcats to pick up some easy baskets in transition. By the end of the first period, Buckhorn was up 17-8.
Things evened out in the second period as Jackson City began to find their range. However, Buckhorn was able to go to the locker room still in the lead 31-23.
