Perry defeats Pirates

Last week, the Perry County Central Commodores (12-5) took on the Powell County Pirates (11-4) in a game between the two top teams in the region. The Commodores took the early lead and never looked back as they defeated the Pirates 85-72.

The Commodores used a strong inside presence to dominate the game. Perry Central shot 57% from the floor, and pulled down 30 rebounds. However, the Commodores were a little off from behind the arc, shooting only 33%. Perry Central also shot 65.5% from the free throw line.

Perry Central (85) Idris Akenyemi 10 (3 rebounds), Prince Anosike 15 (9 rebounds), Noah Back 19 (1 rebound), Austin Hill 15 (5 rebounds), Jayden Neace 3, Damon Tobler 21 (10 rebounds) and Sam Turner 2.
