Last week, the Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Lexington to take on the Lexington Catholic Knights. The Commodores fell behind in the first half, but tied the game in the second before falling 72-66 in double-overtime.
Perry Central struggled to keep pace in the first period, going down 17-9 at the horn. The Commodores fell behind even more in the second quarter, sending them to the locker room trailing 29-16.
A new Commodore team hit the floor in the third period as they shaved six points off their deficit (42-35). Perry Central completed the comeback in the fourth quarter, forcing an overtime period.
Nothing was settled in the overtime period, putting four more minutes on the clock. This time Lexington Catholic was able to put Perry Central away 72-66.
