Last week, the Perry County Central Commodores took on the Patriots of George Washington high school in West Virginia. The Commodores stayed one step behind the Patriots throughout the game, and couldn’t close out the game with the win (59-56).
Perry Central struggled to get out of the blocks in the first period, and fell behind 17-12 early. The Commodores continued to struggle in the second quarter, but managed to lose but one point to the Patriots (26-20).
The pace picked up considerably in the third period, but once again the Commodores lost ground (44-37). Perry Central pulled out all the stops in the fourth quarter in an attempt to complete the comeback. However, the effort would come up short 59-56.
