On Friday, the Chavies Cardinals and the East Perry Miners did battle on the court with a spot in the finals on the line. The Cardinals took the early lead, and flew into the finals with the 47-31 win.
The Cardinals set the pace in the first quarter, and jumped out to the 12-6 lead. Chavies continued to control the tempo in the second period, and went into the locker room with the 21-8 advantage.
East Perry found a way to up their game in the third period, and kept pace with Chavies. However, it would not allow them to climb back into the contest. Going into the final period, the Cardinals were still in the driver’s seat with the 36-21 lead. Chavies went on cruise control in the final period, and came away with the 47-31 win.
