The Perry County Central Lady Commodores concluded their regular season with the Jenkins Lady Cavaliers. The game was close in the first half, with the Lady Commodores pulling away in the second half to take the win 90-73.
Jenkins came out firing, hitting multiple shots from behind the arc. Perry Central had to follow suit, and ended the period with the 22-19 lead.
Both teams kept the pace at a fevered pitch in the second period, and continued to put points on the board. The Lady Commodores went into the locker room with the slim 42-37 advantage.
The Lady Commodores’ pressure began to take its toll on the Lady Cavaliers in the third period, with Perry Central picking up multiple baskets in transition. With eight minutes left to play, The Lady Commodores held the 71-54 lead.
The Lady Commodores pushed the lead to over 20-points early in the fourth period, and went deep into their bench to finish the game. The Lady Cavaliers took advantage of the situation and cut some points off the lead, however, it would not be enough as Perry Central went on to the 90-73 win.
