Bulldogs drop two to end regular season

The Hazard Bulldogs played a pair of games in the final week of the regular season. The Bulldogs went on the road to take on the Letcher Central Cougars, and wrapped things up by hosting the Powell County Pirates.

Hazard was able to keep things close with Letcher Central. The Bulldogs had a shot at the win late, but could not close out the deal, falling to the Cougars 64-59. Cheikh Ndiaye led the way for Hazard with a double-double (11 points and 11 rebounds).

Hazard (59) Reese Fletcher 11 (3 rebounds), Cheikh Ndiaye 11 (11 rebounds), Logan Hall 4 (1 rebound), Wade Pelfrey 6 (1 rebound), Kendrick Hudson 2, Chase Pennington 10 (1 rebound), Jacob Johnson 8 (1 rebound) and Ryan Smith 7 (3 rebounds).

The Bulldogs closed out their regular season by hosting the Pirates. Hazard started the game well, and managed to stay in the game. However, late in the contest, Powell County began to pull away, and went on to win the game 63-53. Reese Fletcher and Ryan Smith each finished the game with a team high 12 points.
