The Perry County Central Lady Commodores and the Buckhorn Lady Wildcats kicked off the 2017 54th district tournament. The Lady Commodores won the only regular season match up 81-26.

Buckhorn got on the board first, but Perry Central was able to counter with the next 24 points. The period ended with the Lady Commodores leading 27-6.

The Lady Wildcats picked up the pace in the second quarter, but could not keep pace with the Lady Commodores. Perry Central went into the half with the 51-19 advantage.

The two teams battled back and forth early in the third period, with the Lady Wildcats being able to keep the continuous clock from running. Late in the period, the Lady Commodores found a way to bump the clock into motion. With eight minutes left to play, Perry Central was on top 70-27.

Both teams went to their bench to finish the game, with Buckhorn finally getting the better of Perry Central in scoring. However, it could do little to keep the Lady Commodores from moving into the championship game 75-34.
