Perry rolls over Breathitt 13-1

Tony McGuire | Hazard Herald Perry Central’s Brody Dixon hit his first high school home run against Breathitt County this week. The Commodores defeated the Bobcats. 13-1.


Late last week, the Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Jackson to take on the Breathitt County Bobcats. The Commodores jumped all over the Bobcats and rolled to the 13-1 win.

Perry Central opened the game with four runs in the top of the first inning. The rally was highlighted by a home run off the bat of Brody Dixon.

Breathitt County rounded out the first inning with a single run, bringing the tally to 4-1. The Commodores came right back with another four runs in the second inning, extending their lead to 8-1.

The only other scoring in the game came in the fourth inning, when Perry Central topped off the scoring with a five spot.

The Commodores went on to win the game by the final tally of 13-1.

Perry Central (13) Dylan Fields 3 hits and 2 runs, Braxton Cottongame 2 runs, 3 hits and 2 RBI, Brody Dixon 2 runs, 2 hits (HR) and 3 RBI, Ronnie Long 3 runs, 2 hits and 1 RBI, Kameron Conley 1 hit, Ryan Couch 1 run and 1 hit, Parker Estep 1 run and 1 hit, Trevor Spurlock 1 run, 1 hit and 1 RBI and Anthony Hughes 1 run and 1 hit.
