Commodores fall to Cougars in district match up

On Friday, the Perry County Central Commodore football team traveled to Letcher Central to take on the Cougars. The Commodores were unable to notch their first district win as they fell to the Cougars 33-6 in the Pine Mountain Classic.

The Commodores were able to pick up their offensive production in this contest, but it would not be able to counter the Cougars’ offensive output. Perry Central had several long gains negated by flags, and came up short on a 33-6 score.

Hazard stats: Rushing: Jordan Combs 30 carries for 192 yards, Tyler Eldridge 13 carries for 87 yards, Seth Napier 10 carries for 27 yards and 1 td and Jayden Neace 5 carries for 13 yards. Passing: Seth Napier 1 for 1. Tackles: Ethan Caldwell 7, Austin Caudill 2, Ronnie Collins 1, Austin Combs 4, Jordan Combs 7, Tyler Eldridge 2, Jayden Neace 5, Kenton Noble 13, Dustin Roberts 3, Jack Sluss 3, Colten Walker 1, Ben Watts 5, Austin Williams 7 and Jacob Woolum 10.
