HAZARD — City Manger Grady Varney issued a boil water advisory on Monday for Mother Moose Market to all of Upper Second Creek in the City of Hazard.
Residents of the affected areas are urged to boil their water prior to human use and consumption due to a potential threat of bacteria contamination because of a main line water break.
The boil water advisory will remain in place until water samples show that the threat of potential bacteria contamination has been eliminated and water quality be safe for human use and consumption.
City officials will notify residents when the boil water advisory has been ended.
