James K. Wiseman


James K. Wiseman Jr., age 85, of Hazard, passed away on Oct. 05 at his residence. James was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War, a 32nd Degree Mason, Kentucky Colonel, Kosair Shriner, associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Vice President of Pioneer Equipment Service Company.

He was the son of the late James K. Wiseman Sr. and the late Elaine Totson Wiseman. He is also preceded in death by one daughter: Diana “BeBe” Wiseman.

He is survived by his wife: Freda Gabbard Wiseman; three sons: James K. (Debbie) Wiseman of Louisville, Odus J. (Deborah) Adams of Hazard and Kenneth M. (Saushia Hopson) of Hazard; two sisters: Mary Roscoe of North Carolina and Susan (John) Stevenson of South Carolina; one brother: Hillary Wiseman of Shelbyville; five grandchildren: Ryliegh A Adams, Elizabeth Grace Wiseman, Jenny Bond, Michael Redmon and Liam J. Adams and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Arrangements by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home. Memorial service at Mother of Good Council Church in Hazard, Oct. 15, 11:00 a.m., with Deacon John Coe officiating.
