Tucson Herald, 72, passed away on Thursday, January 27 at his residence in Combs.

He was born in Hazard, the son of the late Granville Herald and the late Charity Herald. He worked as a coal miner for Cumberland Elkhorn Coal Company, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Eula Sizemore Herald and eight brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by sons Ricky Stacy of Combs and Henry Herald and wife Bobbie of Darfork; daughters Shelia Begley and husband Donald of Bonnyman, Martha Combs and husband Pete of Combs; six grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, January 31 at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Rev. Merril David Collins officiating. Burial followed at the Lick Branch Family Cemetery located at Combs.
