Win over Wildcats closes out season for PCC

On Thursday, the Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Shelby Valley to take on the Wildcats in their annual season-ending match up. The Commodores dictated the tempo of the game from the opening tip, and went on to end the game with the 45-29 win.
The Commodores were patient with their offense while clamping down on defense in the early period. The strategy worked to the tune of a 10-5 lead at the horn.
In the second period, Perry Central picked up the pace, while keeping Shelby Valley shut down on the defensive end. The Commodores went into the locker room with the 24-10 advantage.
Shelby Valley was able to break into double digits in the third quarter, but was unable to cut into the Perry Central lead. The Commodores entered the final period with the 34-20 lead.
The Wildcats were unable to break the Commodores strangle hold in the fourth quarter, but a comeback never materialized. Perry Central went on to win the game by the final count of 45-29.
