Rally gives Hazard the win over Estill County

The Hazard Bulldogs opened their 2011 baseball season on the road at Estill County. The Bulldogs were able to keep it close in the early innings, but fell victim to an Engineer rally. However, the final rally belonged to Hazard as they went on to win the contest by the final score of 10-6.
Austin Johnson got the game off to a good start with a leadoff homerun. The Bulldogs boosted their tally to three in the third as Austin Johnson and Corey Slone turned walks into runs. This left Hazard with a 6-3 deficit.
Hazard rallied late in the game, drawing to within a single run with a pair of runs. Austin Cumbow and Austin Johnson each scored on a Taylor Pulliam hit and a throwing error (6-5).
The Bulldogs put the game on ice with five runs in the final inning. Corey Slone picked up three RBI in the frame with a double to centerfield. The rally lifted the Bulldogs to the 10-6 come from behind win.
