The Perry County Central Commodores played their first home game of the season this week as they hosted the Lee County Bobcats. The Bobcats jumped out to the early lead, leaving the Commodores to tie things late. Lee County was able to pull out the win with a rally in extra innings.

Lee County opened the game with four runs in the top of the first inning. Perry Central countered with a single run in the bottom of the frame. Kevin Smith picked up a hit, and came around to score on a pass ball (4-1).

The Bobcats pushed the lead to 6-1 with a pair of runs in the second inning. The Commodores began to cut into the lead in the third inning, scoring three to bring the score to 6-4. Shaine Baker had a two RBI double in the inning, while Kevin Smith had one.

Perry Central completed the comeback in the fifth inning, scoring two runs to knot the game at seven. Smith and Baker picked up RBI in this frame as well.

The two teams traded runs in the seventh inning, forcing extra innings to settle the matter. Devin Turner scored the Commodores run on a Conner Hurt double. Lee County would score five runs in the eighth inning, and when Perry Central could not reciprocate, the Bobcats took the win.
