What happened, did the rest of the world go to sleep? Did the French, Germans, and Russians nod off and forget what the United States is capable of doing?

The terrorists have never really had the opportunity to deal with us when we are mad, so maybe they need to talk to some of the folks who do remember what our determination can do.

The first place I would suggest they go to is Hiroshima, Japan. The patriotic spirit of the Americans can be viewed there in their museums. Many still call us evil for dropping "Fat Man" and "Little Boy" on the Japanese, but the Japanese attacked us first, just like the terrorists did on 9/11.

There has never been a nation in the history of the world that unleashed such fury on a people, but it was the result of a spirit, and a national consciousness of togetherness that brought it all together.

Americans are the most loving, generous people in the world. It has always been our national attitude to help others, and we have done so on a scale unmatched by any nation.

We give in so many ways through government, institutions, churches, and individual families that the money and time are astronomical. The flip side being that when we are pushed, we can fight back with an aggression unmatched in history.

If the rest of the world continues to sleep, we can surely be the nation that fires the shot that will, once again, be heard around the world.

Perhaps that shot will be what it takes to wake them. America will pull together when the rest of the world scatters in fear.
