HHS girls bring home state titles

The Hazard High School Varsity Cheerleaders won two State Championships during the All "A" Classic State tournament held in Richmond this past week.
The varsity was judged, along with 15 other squads, during their first round games held on Thursday, February 3. Friday night, the Hazard Varsity was crowned "State Champs" of the In-game cheerleading competition. On Sunday, the squad competed in the All "A" State at Large competition with All "A" cheerleading squads from across the state. The Hazard High School Varsity won the All "A" Kentucky State Cheerleading Championship in the Varsity Two and a Half Minute Medium Division.
The Hazard Varsity Cheerleaders are Ashlei Mullins, Kodi Spencer, Mary Simms Carter, Lauren Delpont, Katie Hansen, Sarah Hall, Becky Brotherton, Ashley Noble, Brandi Hayes, Kayla Sandlin, Whitney Francis, Stella Smith, Jordan Hall, Lindsay Bryant, Keiona Mitchell, Chelsea Combs, and Gabriella Woods. The varsity is coached by Cathy Hammonds, Vivian Carter, Wayne Noble, and Shane Noble.
