For four years, Ken Baker used his talents to make Perry Central one of the fastest growing soccer powers in the mountains. Baker helped the Commodores into the playoffs in his junior and senior seasons as the team's goalie. When he left Perry Central, Baker thought his soccer career was over, but after a year of college with no soccer, he has resurrected his career with the Pikeville College Bears.
Pikeville College will field their first ever soccer team this upcoming season, and came looking for the high school standout to help start their program. Baker signed his letter of intent last month, and left Alice Lloyd College to join the Bears' program. It is not clear at this point what position he will play. Baker will be joined on the team by former team mate Jeff Mullins.
