Perry County Deputy Glenn Smith was able to capture an alleged burglarer and recover merchandise taken from the home of Charlotte Sandlin at Buckhorn. The merchandise consisted of jewelry including

an antique necklace and watch.

Sandlin said her mother saw Jimmy Dale New, 32, of Buckhorn leaving Sandlin's home, and knew he was not supposed to have been in the house. Sandlin said she thought New must had been in the house, and probably unlocked a window when she was not watching.

Deputy Smith returned the merchandise to Sandlin Thursday afternoon at the Perry County Sheriff's Department.
