Carl Asher, 64, of Hazard, died Monday, August 15, 2005 at home. He was the son of the late Belvin and Bertha York Asher. He is survived by his wife, Mollie Asher; 2 daughters, Shelia Hollon and husband Mike, Sue Gross and husband Jim all of Hazard; 2 sons, Brian Asher and wife Michelle, Carl Wayne Asher and wife Tonya all of Hazard; 2 sisters, Lois Halcomb and Katherine Damron both of IN;1 brother, Kenneth Wayne Asher of OH; 8 grandchildren. Graveside service was conducted Thursday, August 18, 2005 at the Spencer Cemetery in Cornettsville. Maggard Brothers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Roberts, 65, of Bulan, died Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at the Hazard Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Roberts of Bulan; mother, Juanita Roberts of OH: 1 daughter, Tammy Roberts of Bulan; 1 son, Bruce Roberts of Bulan; 2 sisters, Josephine Sellers and Bertha Short both of OH: 1 brother, Clayton Roberts of Bulan; 1 grandson, Keith Roberts and other relatives and friends survive. Russell Compton, 87, of Bonnyman, died Monday, August 15, 2005 at home. He was the son of the late Noah and Alice Ramey Compton. He is survived by his wife Morell Farmer Compton; 1 son, Ronald Compton of Richmond; 1 daughter, Saundra Compton of Bonnyman; 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
