Early in the week, the Angels and the Astros hooked up in little league action in the Park. The Angels took the early lead, and held off a late rally by the Astros to claim the 16-8 win.
The Angels built a 10-0 lead by the middle of the game, scoring two runs in the first inning, three in the second, and five in the third. The Astros finally got on the board in the top of the fourth inning, drawing to within three runs at 10-7.
The Angels, however, retaliated with six runs in the bottom of the inning, putting the game out of reach at 16-7. The Astros could muster but one run in the top of the fifth inning, setting the final score at 16-8.
Austin Johnson got the win on the mound for the Angels.
