The last little league softball game of the week featured the Bandits and the Riptide. The game started slowly, but exploded into a barrage of runs by both teams. The Bandits, however, got the best of the slugfest coming out a 26-15 winner.
Both teams settled for a single run each in the first inning. In the top of the second inning, however, the Bandits went ballistic, scoring an amazing 16 runs. The Riptide was only able to counter with four runs in the bottom of the inning (17-5).
The third inning produced another 16 runs, nine for the Bandits and seven for the Riptide, sending the game into the fourth inning with the Bandits leading 26-12. If the Riptide were to avoid an early end to the game, they would have to come up with at least five runs in the fourth inning.
The Riptide was able to start a small rally, but could not cross the plate more than three times. The game then came to an end with the Bandits taking the 26-15 win.
