The Astros and the Reds started the little league week with a game on Monday. The Astros took the early lead and brought the game to a premature end with an 11 run fourth inning (17-6).
The Reds scored first in the game, but by the end of the first inning, the Astros had a 5-1 advantage. Going into the fourth inning, the Reds had cut the lead to 5-3, and took a 6-5 lead by the end of the frame.
The Astros used a major rally in the bottom of the fourth inning to bring the game to an end via the mercy ruling. The Astros scored 11 runs in the frame to take the 17-6 win. J. T. Haynes got the win for the Astros.
