The Perry County Central Lady Commodores picked up their first soccer win of the early season. The Lady Commodores failed at their first attempt in the Letcher Central tournament, but were able to get first time coach Kevin Whitman his first win as the team traveled to Paintsville.

The Lady Commodores were as hot as the weather on Saturday, connecting on 9 of 24 shots on goal. Perry Central led 7-0 at the end of the first half, and was on cruise control. However, they would have to play the second half without senior Ashley Hall due to a red card violation after running into the Lady Tiger goalie.

Perry Central traded goals with Paintsville in the second half, and came away with an impressive 9-2 win. The win evened the Lady Commodores' record at 1-1 on the season.

Perry stats:

Ashley Hall: 2 goals and 1 assist, Katie Eversole: 3 assists, Candice Eversole: 1 goal and 1 assist, Krystal Neace: 2 goals and 2 assists, and Keisha Hackworth: 4 goals and 1 assist.
