On the little league softball field this week, the Thunder put together a 17 run first inning in route to a win over the Heat. The Heat got off to a great start, but could not stop the Thunder from rounding the bases in mass.
The Heat crossed the plate seven times in the top of the first inning, but yielded 17 runs to the Thunder in the bottom of the frame. The blow did not deter the Heat as they came back with a six run second inning, bringing them to within four runs at 17-13.
The Thunder countered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning, and added another six in the third, putting the score at 25-13. The Heat managed two in the fourth, thus giving up the game 25-15.
