After several months of speculation, a familiar name is coming back to Perry County as Sykes Enterprises is set to reopen its call center business in the Coal Fields Industrial Park later this year.
According to Chris Melton, Site Director for Sykes, the center will reopen with over 200 positions in the area to serve two separate clients. “We are recruiting skilled and energetic individuals for well paid and exciting jobs,” Melton said. “We are hiring entry-level customer service representatives for a financial services client, and skilled professionals for a Fortune 100 communications client.”
While Melton did not give a precise date for the reopening of the center, he did note that the company will be hosting a job fair at the end of this month at the center in Perry County.
Melton noted that the business reopening its doors in Perry County is a result of efforts to secure business, and the company is looking forward to reopening its doors in the area. “We are really excited as we are about to reopen the facility in Perry County, and we’re excited about the opportunities for both Sykes and for Perry County.”
Sykes Enterprises is a customer service corporation headquartered in Tampa, Fla. The company first opened its doors in Perry County in the late 1990s, but closed approximately four years ago.
