He was a retired coal miner and son of the late Ed and Viola Farmer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Farmer; sons Jerry and Don; brothers Jimmy and Richard and sister Drucilla.
He is survived by daughters Janice Reynolds and Paula Campbell; sons Jimmy Farmer and Doug Farmer; grandchildren Brian, Michael, Jeremy, Josh, Jacob and Dana; great-grandchildren John David, Ethan Michael, Nikki, Patty and Jamie Ann, and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard where the family received friends on Saturday, August 20. Services followed with Rev. Michael Barnett officiating. Interment was at Brewer Cemetery at Cutshin.
