The Commodores looked to be on their way to another easy win, picking up a run in the bottom of the first inning. Roy Gay drew a walk, and promptly stole second. Gay then moved to third when Brandon Napier grounded out and scored on a Taylin Goodson single.
The Cavaliers tied the game in the fourth inning after the Commodores committed a throwing error on a pickoff move. The error allowed the Jenkins runner to move to third, where he later scored on a single (1-1).
The game remained tied at one through the seventh inning, forcing an extra-inning to determine the winner. After holding Jenkins without a hit in the top of the frame, Perry Central quickly went to work on ending the contest.
Again, Roy Gay got the Commodores started, this time with a single. Gay then stole second and was joined on base by Brandon Napier who was hit by a pitch. The pair moved up on a double-steal, leaving room for Taylin Goodson on first.
With the bases loaded, Perry Central tried to squeeze a run home, but to no avail as Gay was thrown out at the plate. David Napier then ended the game with a single to rightfield, bringing Brandon Napier to the plate.
Taylin Goodson picked up his second win of the season, going three innings with no hits, and three strikeouts. John Amis started the game, going five innings with 3 hits, 1 run, 8 strikeouts and 1 walk.
