She was a retired school teacher for the Perry County School District, and the daughter of the late Joe Wells and the late Mallie Fields Wells. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Owen Wilson; daughter Linda Wilson; and brother Jerry Wells.
She is survived by daughters Deronna Wilson and Susan Spencer and husband James; son Joe Wilson; sister Janis Gambell; grandchildren Seth Napier, Rebecca Smith and husband Farlon, Ruth Ann Muse and husband Ray and Christopher Wilson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel where the family received friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 7. Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8 with Damon Sexton officiating. Interment will be at Wells-Wilson Family Cemetery in Avawam.
