The Hazard Bulldogs hosted the South Floyd Raiders last week as a break in their tournament scheduling. The Bulldogs participated in the WYMT Mountain Classic and the All “A” this month.
Nine Hazard players got in the books as they crushed the Raiders 74-41.
The game was nip-and-tuck in the first period, with Hazard pulling out a 14-11 advantage at the horn. The Bulldogs blew up on the Raiders in the second period, and all but put the game out of reach. Hazard went into the locker room with a commanding 37-15 lead.
The Bulldogs continued to roll in the third period. The lead continued to grow during the frame, and as the fourth quarter rolled around, Hazard had a 59-25.
The entire Bulldog bench hit the floor by the fourth quarter, and continued to hold off South Floyd. Hazard went on to win the game by the final count of 74-41.
