Rita Lynn Gayheart Feltner, 54, departed this life on Saturday, April 7 at the hospice care center in Hazard.

She was born in Hazard, the daughter of Don Moore and the late Hazel Gayheart Moore, and wa also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Joan Moore.

Rita was a life-long resident of Perry County and loved her dogs and her dear family.

She is survived by her husband, Lester Wayne Feltner, Sr. of Dice; father Don Moore of Dice; stepson Lester Wayne Feltner, Jr. of Indiana; brothers Doyle Ray Moore and Haney Miller of Dice, Tilden Gayheart and Homer Gayheart, both of Portage, Indiana; sisters Patty Johnson of Walton, Ky. and Joan Ritchie and Ronald Fugate of Lotts Creek; grandsons Chase, Jordan and Heylen Feltner, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 11 at 2 p.m. at the Engle Funeral Home of Hazard with Jack Carter officiating. The interment will follow in the Grigsby Cemetery located at Lotts Creek. The visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
