Hazard Community and Technical College’s Greater Hazard Area Preforming Arts Series, along with Community Ministries, hosted the third annual Taste of Hazard to benefit Community Ministries. Caterers, restaurants, and individuals created sample-sized items that hundreds of people came out and enjoyed. The menu was diverse and delicious with items from Jabo’s State of Mine, Grow Appalachia, Betty’s Kitchen, 4 Star Catering, and many others. The event had music by Appalatin, a Kentucky-based group that plays a mix of Latin and bluegrass music. One member, Steve Sizemore, is a Hazard native.
