This weekend, the Hazard Lady Bulldogs hosted the Prestonsburg Lady Blackcats. The Lady Bulldogs took the early lead, and never looked back as they rolled over the Lady Blackcats 14-6.

Hazard wasted no time getting started as they scored three runs in the first inning and four in the second inning. Prestonsburg scored a single run in each of the frames (7-2).

The Lady Blackcats hit for two runs in the fourth inning, but gave the Lady Bulldogs four in the bottom of the inning (11-4). Hazard then scored twice in the fifth inning, giving them the 13-4 advantage.

The two teams traded runs in the sixth inning (14-5), with Prestonsburg scoring once in the seventh to bring the final tally to 12-6. Chandler Maggard got the win on the mound, going the distance with six hits, six runs, four walks and 11 strikeouts.
