Vivian (Halcomb) Fields, 90, died Tuesday April 10, 2012 in Bloomington, Indiana. She was a resident of Owensburg, Indiana, and was born May 10, 1921 in Fusonia, Kentucky.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. Vivian loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include four children, Beatrice (Glenn) Dunn and Sally Halcomb both of Indianapolis, Bonnie (Dale) Smith of Dallas, Texas, and Ruby (Ray) Haley of Owensburg, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Causby and Sally (Caudill) Halcomb; husband Green B. Fields; son Riley Fields; daughter Patricia Fields; brother Hoodie Halcomb; and sister Beatrice Elkins.
A funeral service was conducted on Saturday, April 14 at Jessen Funeral Home in Whiteland, Indiana. Burial was at Acton Cemetery in Acton, Indiana.
